Visit with Auntie Liz, Uncle Chris & Cousin Micah

Auntie Liz & cousin Micah flew out to hang out with Nate, June 22 - July 5. Uncle Chris joined them on June 30th. 

We had a great visit with all of them ... Liz was able to help me out as I figured out how to function now that Gigi (my Mom) had left ... and Micah & Nate were able to get to know each other. Micah absolutely loved Nate and was trying to grab him & kiss him every chance he got ... I think Nate was scared of Micah's kisses at first, but grew to love them by the end of their visit!!

Cousin Asher turned 2 while they were visiting ... Cousins George & Louise threw Asher a fabulous party for the family that was in town - Nana, Uncle George & Auntie Barb were all here for the festivities!

We had a great visit with them while they were here and can't wait to see them in August when we head West to BC! 

Road Trip to Minneapolis

** Here is my first attempt at blogging about life with Nate!

This past weekend (July 15 - 18, 2011) we took Nate down to Minneapolis to pick up his new wheels (a Red Chariot) ... we traveled with our friends Bill, Meggin & their 11-month-old daughter Sophie (Nate's future girlfriend).

Nate had so many more firsts:
- Crossing the border
- Minnesota Twins baseball game (& I experienced my first time breastfeeding at a baseball game)
- Trip to Albertville Outlet mall, Ikea & Mall of America
- And a road trip 7 hours long

Lindsey and I weren't sure how he'd be in the car ... but he was a champ. We stopped every 1 - 2 hours to feed/change him, but overall we were pretty impressed.

He got to meet some more cousins ... from Minneapolis, Minnedosa, and Alberta (not sure exactly where Dave & Christine live).

I need to point out how much I love my HooterHider and Gemini carrier (thanks to Isla, Joy & Kellie)...they make life much more accessible with an infant!  I'm sure nobody could tell I was breastfeeding under there ... I didn't miss a play!

He's getting used to sleeping in his Uppababy bassinet, which was great to travel with ... but he's quickly growing too long for it.

Here is another picture of Lindsey & Nate in their matching hats ... so handsome!! I'm sure this happens to everyone with an infant ... but Lindsey and I can't get over how much people talk to you when you're carrying a baby around with you!! But can you blame them :)
